Paul has more than 40 years of experience in the space domain, working on more than 150 space programs for NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the French Space Agency (CNES) and in industry up to vice-president for European business at Thales Alenia Space. Paul was involved in designing satellites, cameras, and radars for planetary missions to Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Titan. He was responsible for the development of the radar altimeter, ensuring the proper mission and landing of the Huygens probe of the Cassini mission on Titan's surface. Paul holds an electrical engineering degree from École Supérieure d'Électricité in Paris and a Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Sciences from MIT, Cambridge, USA.
